![]() Outposts are safe but not very fertile, and if you have a big need for food or equipment, I will go to a city or bunker instead. You can not currently enter the TEC-1 buildings, so search in containers and small offices. The outposts I have visited have been completely unprotected, but there is not much loot there except for odds and ends and sometimes a weapon. OutpostsĬurrently there is not much to find outposts, which are marked with pink on the map above. Hunting camps (marked in green) are a little harder to reach, as there are only a few of them on the map, but those I've visited have contained at least some weapons and some ammunition for them. And if you're something like me, all of these buildings will make a number on your framerate. But in any big city, you will run into a bunch of zombies, both on the streets and in the surrounding area. If you want to avoid the extremely lethal mechene, go to a city with police station: there is one in each grid. Police stations (light blue on the map) are a sensible place to find weapons, provided they have not been picked by other players. Then it was like a child in a candy shop: lots of armor, medical areas, offices and boxes that were scattered throughout the bunker. After luring and killing some nearby zeds I managed to sneak up, open the bunker sluice and drop in (mechen shot me just as I entered, but I survived). Stealth is your friend: hook down, hold the cover, and try to see the bunker entrance from the outside of the fence (a big deal: a mech usually sticks around it in a triangular patrol pattern). Bunkers are also quite populated by soldier zombies, some of which carry military equipment, including helmets, which may be a bit harder to take down than your average village zombie. Underground bunkersġ9659002] Underground bunkers (marked with yellow dots on the map) are a great place to plunder: The one I visited had several basement levels packed with weapons, ammunition, body tights, tactical clothes and even MREs was good to eat after undergoing zombie meat and mushrooms on their way to find the bunker.īut you can not just mosey on! Bunkers are usually guarded by two mechs, big stompy robots that give you a warning the moment they see you followed by a shotgun shot about two seconds later. Since Scum's map (opened by pressing M) shows your position with a small blue arrow, you can quickly identify where you are relative to the places marked on the map. The map above, created by Suspectlive on Reddit (see also their Twitch channel here ) is extremely useful to have opened in another screen while playing.
